2
Something to watch

U1 The self-build on the family site
3
A building to look at
Maura’s Cottage, Lough Gur, Co. Limerick – a thatched house built about 1850
National Inventory of Architectural Heritage · Co. Limerick · buildingsofireland.ie
Find a building like this near your home. Sketch it and note what it is built from – it could be the building for your project.
4
Something to try
Measure your bedroom and draw it at 1:50
A tape measure, a pencil and 20 minutes
Measure each wall, the door and the window. Draw the plan at 1:50 and show which way the door opens. Then check: does the bed fit where you drew it?

5
Something for your project or exam
How to tape an airtight seal round a window
Ecological Building Systems · video · 4 min
